He has written several books, including How to Train and Develop Supervisors, How to Manage Change, How to Improve Performance Through Appraisal and Coaching, and Evaluating Training Programs: The Four Levels.
Nancy Kristiansen (Author)
Nancy Kristiansen draws from more than 30 years in the electronics industry to serve as a training and organization development consultant, independently and through a partnership with Blackfox Institute. Having earned her master’s degree from Suffolk University, she has branched into new territories, including becoming an adjunct faculty member for Saint Joseph’s College of Maine in its highly innovative MBA quality leadership program. Her own continued development rests in her conviction that training and development is a helping profession and that teaching is a learning process. Her practice is founded on a belief that effectiveness in any endeavor is achieved through balanced management of discipline and creativity.

Sharon Shrock is professor of Instructional Design and Technology at Southern Illinois University Carbondale where she coordinates graduate programs in instructional design and technology. She is the former co-director of the Hewlett-Packard World Wide Test Development Center. She is a past president of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology’s Division of Instructional Development and has served on the editorial boards of most of the major academic journals in the instructional design field. She is the senior author of Criterion-Referenced Test Development.

Donald V. McCain is founder and principal of Performance Advantage Group, an organization dedicated to helping companies gain competitive advantage through developing their human resources. He also consults in HRD processes, including design and development, competency identification and development, certification, evaluation, presentation and facilitation, and managing and marketing the HRD function.
McCain has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, a master’s degree of divinity, a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in human resources and marketing, and a doctorate in education in HRD from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee. He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Academy of Human Resource Development. In addition, McCain is a former visiting professor at the School of Business at Tennessee State University and is also on faculty at the University of Phoenix and the University of Fredericton.
McCain is the author and co-author of several ASTD Press books, including Evaluation Basics, Facilitation Basics, Facilitation Training, and Needs Assessment Basics and has published several articles and evaluation instruments.
