Jean Barbazette, MA, is president of The Training Clinic, a training consulting firm she founded in 1977. Her company specializes in train-the-trainer programs, new employee orientation, and quality enhancement of training and instruction for major national and international clients. Her degree from Stanford University is a master’s in education. She’s the author of the bestselling book Successful New Employee Orientation (Pfeiffer, 2007) and The Trainer’s Support Handbook (McGraw-Hill, 2001). She has authored three training packages: Customer Service: Back to the Basics, Telephone Techniques, and Dealing with Difficult Customers. She is a past contributor to McGraw Hill Sourcebooks, Pfeiffer
Annuals, and ASTD publications. She received The President’s Award from Orange County ASTD in 1998 for 20 years of continuous and outstanding service to the chapter. OCASTD awarded her the 1999 Distinguished Service Award.
