John L. Epps, PhD...
John L. Epps is one of the original designers of the Technology of Participation (ToP). Dr. Epps has conducted seminars and consultations on an in-house basis for more than 300 organisations throughout Southeast Asia, the U.S.A., and Europe. As a director of LENS in Malaysia and Singapore, he consults with groups on the subjects of strategic thinking, facilitation methods, customer service, quality improvement and leadership development. Clients include companies in banking, insurance, manufacturing, high tech, and petroleum industries and organisations in the education and not-for-profit sectors. He has made presentations to such organisations as The Federation of Malaysia Manufacturers (FMM), The Malaysian Institute of Personnel Managers (MIPM), and the Association of Petroleum Companies of ASEAN. He has conducted training courses and consultations in the U.S.A., Hong Kong, Phnom Penh, Colombo, Manila, Vientiane, and Bangkok as well as Malaysia and Singapore.
Dr. Epps is a contributing author of the book, "Participation Works: Business Cases from Around the World," and "The IAF Handbook of Group Facilitation." He has published articles in IMAGE, the Journal of Personal and Organisation Transformation, The Journal of Quality and Participation, and The Facilitator. He is a founding member of The International Association of Facilitators, and is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland University College teaching on-line graduate courses "Strategic Management in an International Competitive Environment" and "Managing Country Risk."
Dr. Epps received his BA degree from The Citadel, and his PhD from Southern Methodist University, USA.
